Andras Farm is set in the heart of the beautiful village of Appletreewick,
the birthplace in 1548 of Sir William Craven,
who later went on to become Lord Mayor of London
and was dubbed the 'Dick Whittington of the Dales'.
No longer a working farm (other than chickens and a fruit orchard),
an 18th Century converted farmhouse situated on the Dales Way,
it is an ideal base for a really relaxing holiday.

The village of Appletreewick boasts a picturesque church and two interesting pubs,
one within 100 yards which has a CAMRA award for its speciality beers and both serving evening meals.
It is an excellent village in which
to make your base if you want to enjoy all that it has to offer as well as the
wondrous beauty of Wharfedale. From here one can Pot Hole, go Hot-Air
Ballooning, Pony-Trekking and Rock Climbing as well as fish for brown trout or
play golf at Skipton.

Superb walking country - the first leg stop on the 'Dales Way Walk'.
And Appletreewick is only a few miles from Rylston, home of the W.I.
'Calendar Girls'.
We have a DVD of the film, which was shot
on location
virtually on the doorstep, so if you've already seen it you'll know what to expect.
If not, you're welcome to watch it during your stay.
